Clinical Evaluation of Removable Partial Denture Constructed From 3d Printed Resin Pattern Designed Using Cad Cam Technology

Abstract: INTRODUCTION:Computer-assisted design, computer-assisted manufacture (CAD/CAM) can be successfully applied to the fabrication of removable partial denture (RPD) alloy frameworks and replace laboratory crafting techniques. The CAD/CAM techniques have been widely used for a long time to manufacture dental prostheses. Computer-aided technologies allow more precise and systematic modeling, and could therefore reduce the burdensome steps of both chair-side and laboratory work, saving vital time. OBJECTIVES: This st… Show more

“…All of the included studies were clinical randomized studies; four were crossover studies, [39][40][41][42] one was a randomized parallel groups clinical trial, 31 and five studies used within subject study design. 25,32,[43][44][45] The earliest study was published in 2017, 45 and the latest in 2022. 25,31 Populations of all studies were patients attending prosthodontic clinics of dental schools.…”

“…The current study used a qualitative analog method based on direct inspection of the gap between the framework components and the model surface, using image amplification and calibrated endodontic instruments (endodontic plugger #35 and file #50). A qualitative assessment using calibrated endodontic instruments was previously described by Conceição et al [33]. A similar method based on using a calibrated orthodontic wire of 500 µm has already been described by other authors [32].…”
