Clinical Efficacy of Prebiotics and Glycosaminoglycans versus Placebo In Dogs with Food Responsive Enteropathy Receiving a Hydrolyzed Diet: A Pilot Study

Abstract: Induction of remission is easily achieved with dietary treatment in dogs diagnosed with Food Responsive Chronic Enteropathy (FRD). Administration of prebiotics and glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) may improve epithelial cell integrity and therefore be useful as adjunct treatment.
