Abstract:Methods and materials: This is an unmatched case-control study where the children of either sex, aged 0-59 months with the history of cough or difficult breathing and radiologic pneumonia were enrolled. The children who were assessed for sepsis (n = 123) at admission were the study population. Children those without sepsis (n = 82) were the controls.
