Clinical characteristics and course of patients with Kawasaki disease at a general hospital

Abstract: Kawasaki disease (KD) is considered the leading cause of acquired heart disease in children younger than 5 years. Our objective was to know the clinical characteristics, coronary involvement, and course of patients seen at our facility.A case series from 2001 to 2018 was reviewed. Sixty-three patients were included; their median age was 2.6 years; 58% were males.
