Abstract:Background/Aim: Amputation is still a viable option for musculoskeletal tumors that are multi-compartmental, adjacent to neurovascular structures, and involving pathological fractures. Complications such as poor surgical margins, local recurrence and infection after limb salvage surgery are also indications for secondary amputation.
