Abstract:Forty percent of patients with gastric cancer are node negative, so they have an unnecessarily extended lymph node dissection with a higher rate of morbidity and mortality. Successful sentinel lymph node (SLN) mapping may help to reduce the number of extended lymphadenectomy.
