Clinical and pathological comparisons of adnexal torsion between pregnant and non‐pregnant women

Abstract: Aim:We evaluated and compared the clinical and pathological differences between pregnant and nonpregnant women with adnexal torsion. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed 239 women with adnexal torsion from January 2006 to December 2015 in a tertiary hospital. The clinical and pathological differences between pregnant and non-pregnant women who underwent surgery for adnexal torsion were analyzed. Results: The most common pathologies were corpus luteum cysts in pregnant women and dermoid cysts in non-pregnant wo… Show more

“…About 10-22% of adnexal torsion occurred during pregnancy [6,7]. It is more likely to occur between the 10th week and the 17th week of gestation with an ovarian mass larger than 4 cm in diameter [8].…”

“…That is to say, for avoiding data corruption by read disturbs, a process of read reclaim (RR) is expected in partially read-disturbed blocks [19]. Specifically, a process of read reclaim migrates all valid data in the disturbed block to a free block, and then reclaims the disturbed one [23].…”

“…read error rate). Furthermore, in order to decrease the overhead of data reallocation, we carry out data migration in the process of read reclaim [23,24]. Figure 3 illustrates the workflow of the proposed read reclaim approach, for the purpose of unifying read counts among data blocks.…”
