“…Embolization to the abdominal aorta may result in aorto‐iliac occlusion, thereby causing spinal cord ischemia, peripheral nerve injury, aneurismal dilatation, and secondary infection. In contrast with what is reported in adults, systemic embolic events are much rarer in children . In the present case, the first manifestation was acute ischemic symptoms in both lower extremities such as leg pain, pallor and paresthesia, which are very unusual clinical manifestations in any circumstances during childhood.…”

“…Although myxomas are resectable tumors without an aggressive course in adults, they may grow aggressively and require resection in infants. [16] Therefore, myxomas often have a fatal progression in newborns and infants. [17] Mortality was not observed in our patients with a myxoma.…”

“…In this patient, consistent with the literature, teratoma had an extracardiac origin. [16,20] The patient was operated due to the symptoms of tamponade and the tumor was resected. No recurrence or hemodynamic problems were observed during follow-up.…”

“…Often in children and adolescents, the characteristically vague symptoms, including fatigue, weight loss, fever, shortness of breath, and palpitations, can contribute to delay in diagnosis. 3 While right atrial myxomas are less common than those in the left atrium (25% vs 75%, respectively), they are more likely to calcify. 4 Unlike other more commonly encountered pediatric intracardiac tumors, such as rhabdomyomas, definitive therapy for myxomas requires prompt surgical excision and typically results in rapid resolution of symptoms.…”
