Abstract:The parapharyngeal space (PPS) is a potential inverted pyramid-shaped cavity that extends from the base of the skull to the hyoid bone. The space can be divided by styloid process into the presty-loid and poststyloid regions. 1 These regions are crucial when planning the evaluation and treatment of PPS tumors according to the structures they contain.
