Purpose Discussions about digital tourism continue to increase among scholars as Information Communication and Technology (ICT) infrastructure develops. Dynamic changes due to technological aspects have given rise to various developments in the tourism industry. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the scientific structure of the development of digital tourism topics through a bibliometric analysis approach. In total, 102 publications from research on digital tourism were taken from Scopus database between 2001 and 2021, for further bibliometric analysis using the VOSviewer application. Interesting findings describe the most cited digital tourism publications, the contribution of digital tourism by various authors, institutions, countries, co-citation analysis, bibliographic coupling, and co-occurrence for the main trends of digital tourism. This study compiles a detailed review of digital tourism research. This article adds substantial value to the digital tourism topic by analyzing bibliometric data. It provided scientific information regarding digital tourism for other researchers and future research.

Abstract:Competitiveness on the global market represents one of the key factors and challenges for tourism industry and all its activities. The aim of the paper is to highlight the significance of tourism industry for economic development and employment, as well as to discuss and conclude on the importance of safety as a factor of competitiveness of the Republic of Serbia as a tourism destination. The analysis has been carried out in order to gain insight into Serbian competitiveness, in relation to destinations inside the region of Southern and Western Europe. Also, the time series have been used to present the specific pillars of tourism destination competitiveness and development of Serbia, especially safety and security pillars. In this paper, we shall present some of the implications of the current positioning of Serbia as a tourism destination, based on the use and analysis of the competitiveness index of the Republic of Serbia.

The research aims to explore how climate change and the discourses about adaptation to climate change are altering the spatial development of the tourism industry in coastal destinations in the periphery. Firstly, we will review the consequences of climate change for the coastal environment and tourism. Then, we will present the role of space in the adaption of the tourism industry. The reproduction of the coastal tourism space in the context of adaptation to climate change will be illustrated by two case studies in Eastern Québec in Canada -the communities of Tadoussac on the north shore of the St-Lawrence River and of Notre-Dame-du-Portage on the south shore.
