“…Rotunda, Williamson, and Penfold (2004) surveyed 47 female victims, 70 male perpetrators, and 41 clergy members and found that victims and perpetrators were generally satisfied (60%) with the clergy's assistance. The study shows that most of clergy members suggested marital counseling (93%) and separation (87%), whereas only a small percentage of clergy (5%) advised wives to submit to their husbands to ease the abuse.…”
