Cleaner preparation of poly(vinylidene fluoride)/barium titanate composites: Thermal, mechanical, and dielectric properties and relaxation dynamics

Abstract: Traditional polymer composite preparation techniques often employ organic solvents, which can damage the environment, to disperse inorganic fillers. In this article, classic nanocomposites with poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) polymer matrices and BaTiO3 nanoparticle (BTP) fillers were created by a clean method combining planetary ball milling with an ultracentrifugal mill and then hot pressed into thin films. The microstructures, properties and relaxation dynamics of the thin films were characterized and anal… Show more

“…2 Excellent HDMs can signicantly cut down dissipation, improve the efficiency of energy storage, and shrink the size of devices. 3 Organic/inorganic composites are some of the most extensively studied HDMs as they combine the merits of both components, such as enhanced dielectric properties, outstanding thermal stabilities, bio-compatibility, light weight, low cost and remarkable processing properties. [4][5][6][7] Ferroelectric ceramics such as lead-free barium titanate (BaTiO 3 , BTO) have long been of interest as llers for high dielectric composites.…”
