Abstract: Primary and secondary tetrahydropyranyl ethers are ef®ciently converted to the corresponding carbonyl compounds using clay supported [Ce(NO 3 ) 3 ] 2 CrO 4 and [Ce(NO 3 ) 3 ] 3 HIO 6 in dichloromethane.
