Quaintance and Baker (1913) discussed at great length their decision to place A. iridescens Cockerell (1898) in synonymy with A. cocois (Curtis, 1846), quoting in full both Cockerell's original description of A. iridescens and a redescription of A. cocois by Riley and Howard (1893). We have studied type material of both species.…”
