CLASSIFICATION OF STANDARD MODEL PARTICLES IN E6ORBIFOLD GRAND UNIFIED THEORIES

Abstract: We classify the standard model fermions, which originate from bulk fields of the 27 or 27 representation after orbifold breaking, in E 6 grand unified theories on 5 or 6-dimensional space-time, under the condition that q, e c and u c survive as zero modes for each 27 or 27. We study features of supersymmetric SU (5) ×U (1) 1 ×U (1) 2 model.

“…Recently, the classification of the standard model fermions from bulk 27-plet fields in models with orbifold breakings of the E 6 unified symmetry is studied in Ref. [23]. While the above discussions focus on the contributions from A µ , we also incorporate the contribu- where Λ(x, y) = exp (iλ a (x, y)t a ) , (B.2) * * Also in ref.…”

“…Grand unified theories with E 6 gauge group have many theoretical advantages—anomaly free, the largest exceptional Lie group that has chiral representation, a possible unification of quarks, charged leptons, neutrinos and Higgs doublets—and therefore much attention has been paid in the literature .…”

“…Next we consider hypercharge.
