Twitter is a famous social media platform, which supports short posts limited to 280 characters. Users tweet about many topics like movie reviews, customer service, meals they just ate, and awareness posts. Tweets carrying information about some crime scenes are crime tweets. Crime tweets are crucial and informative and separate classification is required. Identification and classification of crime tweets is a challenging task and has been the researcher’s latest interest. The researchers used different approaches to identify and classify crime tweets. This research has used an ensemble approach for the identification and classification of crime tweets. Tweepy and Twint libraries were used to collect datasets from Twitter. Both libraries use contrasting methods for extracting tweets from Twitter. This research has applied many ensemble approaches for the identification and classification of crime tweets. Logistic regression (LR), support vector machine (SVM), k-nearest neighbor (KNN), decision tree (DT), and random forest (RF) Classifier assigned with the weights of 1,2,1,1 and 1 respectively ensemble together by a soft weighted Voting classifier along with term frequency – inverse document frequency (TF-IDF) vectorizer gives the best performance with an accuracy of 96.2% on the testing dataset.

Data mining and prediction systems have been the center of attraction since information retrieval came into existence. Most IT companies spend a lot of resources on such analysis and systems to improve their performance and generate more revenue depending on the nature of work that they do. Online News Feed Prediction System aims to provide an analysis and comparison of various prediction techniques by using different methods of implementation. UCI repository contains a collection of databases pertaining to different topics. News popularity in multiple social media is one such dataset containing information about news topics from different sources, sentiment analysis of title and headline, topic that they are related to, publishing date, popularity score in various social media platforms. Python, R and Weka have been used on this data set to implement data preprocessing, visualization and prediction techniques like Random Forest, Decision Tree and SVM. Moreover, there is dataset on the analysis of the score for every twenty minutes for the social media platforms chosen. Analysis on these platforms helps in developing a system to reach a wider audience. News agencies can use this system to increase their profit and visibility. Öz Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türkçe için kapsamlı yeni bir duygu kütüphanesi geliştirmektir. Bu yeni kütüphane ile Türkçe sosyal medya paylaşımlarında etkili duygu analizi çalışmalarının yapılmasına katkı sunmak hedeflenmektedir. Bu çalışmada, varolan diğer kütüphanelerden bazıları incelenmiş olup bunları genişleten kapsamlı bir kütüphane oluşturulmuştur. Daha önce yapılmış çalışmalara ek olarak kütüphaneye basit emoji karakterler ve puanlama altyapısı eklenmiştir. Geliştirilen Türkçe Duygu Kütüphanesi'nin verimliliğini ölçmek için Twitter'da belli etiketlerle oluşturulmuş paylaşımlar toplanmıştır ve bunların üzerinden duygu analizi çalışmaları yapılmıştır. Analiz çalışmaları, birbirinden bağımsız iki farklı konu başlığında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu analiz kapsamında yapılan çalışmalardan ilki hava değişikliklerinin kullanıcılar üzerindeki etkisini ölçmek adına yapılmıştır. Bu çalışma kapsamında yaz aylarında ve kış aylarında toplanan veri kümeleri incelenmiştir. Türkçe paylaşım yapan kullanıcıların kış aylarında daha olumsuz paylaşımlar yaptıkları, bahar ve yaz aylarında ise kış aylarına oranla daha olumlu paylaşımlar yaptıkları gözlemlenmiştir. Diğer analiz çalışması ise Türk televizyonlarında belirli bir süre boyunca yayınlanan, günlerce popüler konu listesinin en üst sırasında yer alan Survivor adlı yarışma programı izleyicilerinin Türkçe paylaşımlarını konu almıştır. Analiz sonucunda kullanıcıların takip etmekte oldukları bu programla ilgili genelde olumsuz paylaşımlar yaptığı gözlemlenmiştir. Ayrıca, paylaşımlarda bozuk Türkçe kullanım alışkanlıkları tespit edilmiştir.
