Classification of COVID-19 individuals using adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system

Abstract: Coronavirus is a fatal disease that affects mammals and birds. Usually, this virus spreads in humans through aerial precipitation of any fluid secreted from the infected entity’s body part. This type of virus is fatal than other unpremeditated viruses. Meanwhile, another class of coronavirus was developed in December 2019, named Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV), first seen in Wuhan, China. From January 23, 2020, the number of affected individuals from this virus rapidly increased in Wuhan and other countries. Thi… Show more

“…People are losing their jobs, salaries being cut off due to business losses, and bringing the world's economies into a terrible situation. Therefore, it is crucial for society's survival that a section of it continues with its business activities [3,4]. The need of the time is to develop a systematic approach to deal with the restrictions laid down by governments.…”

“…In this way, measures can then be taken to protect oneself from infected people diagnosed with this virus, and their location data is accessed using smartphone technology. Business activities must be allowed to take place in a restricted manner 3 . However, these smartphone applications should be designed to provide people with information about infected people beforehand.…”

“…The random forest algorithm can predict the possible cases, death rate by analyzing the data collected from sources and able to predict with an accuracy rate 94 percent [ 48 ]. In order to predict the risk of COVID-19 after classifying the dataset using SVM, ANFIS model can predict the risk with higher accuracy [ 49 ]. Apart from this, supervised machine learning shows immense performance to classify the disease using epidemiology which could also be employed to the IoT network [ 50 ].…”

“…C. Iwendi et al [37], have proposed their study about the role of an Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) into Classification of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) individuals, introducing a system to analyze and classify the predictions produced from virus's symptoms, aiming to help in COVID-19's early detection.…”
