Classics and modern for literary education in Spain during the Francoism

Abstract

The present article analyzes the literary education in the Spain of the Francoism. The particularities of the historical moment made literary education dedicated to political, religious or moral ideology. Likewise, the authors and chosen works are selected to fulfill mainly those ideological functions. This is intuited in the texts used for literary education in the school environment. The main objective of the work is, from an analysis of the authors and works used during the years 1939-1975 in the school environment, to make an approximation to the model of literary education, as well as to the associated interests for the integral formation of the students.
