Class Size

Abstract

An important factor in educational policy disputes is the size of classes used for instruction. Much research examines the effect of class size on academic achievement and the factors that may influence that achievement. Despite considerable research, controversies remain, especially in terms of the effects of class size on achievement. This essay examines key findings emerging from studies that have examined these issues and potential areas of agreement as it relates to the effects of class size on adolescents' experiences.
