Abstract:Coordination between the microtubule and actin networks is essential for cell motility, neuronal growth cone guidance, and wound healing. Members of the CLASP (Cytoplasmic Linker-Associated Protein) family of proteins have been implicated in the cytoskeletal crosstalk between microtubules and actin networks, however, the molecular mechanisms underlying CLASPs role in cytoskeletal coordination are unclear. Here, we investigate CLASP2αs crosslinking function with microtubules and F-actin. Our results demonstrate… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
