“…The tree needed high mechanical power to withstand the strong wind and intense rain (Longui et al 2018). Besides that, the fiber wall thickness in Pacitan and Klaten showed similarity with G. versteegii in Nusa Tenggara Timur (Andianto 2010), which has an average fiber wall thickness of 2.2 ±0.2 μm but showed a different value of G. versteegii in Gorontalo (Asdar 2006) that has a higher value (3.975 μm). The different fiber wall thicknesses of G. versteegii in different places showed that the growing site condition, especially soil moisture, affects the fiber wall thickness (Zobel and van Buijtenen 1989).…”
