Abstract: Primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) is a chronic autoimmune liver disease that leads to the destruction of the intrahepatic bile ducts. While the inflammatory process can be mediated by monocyte chemotactic protein-1 (MCP-1), the importance of circulating MCP-1 as a biomarker is unclear.
