Abstract: O texto aborda, algumas obras do haitiano Frantz Jacques, mais conhecido como Guyodo (1973-), e do mineiro Farnese de Andrade (1926-1996), que são trazidas à baila em função do modo como fazem uso dos altares e objetos vodu (Guyodo) e dos arranjos devocionais católicos (os objetos-oratórios de Farnese), o que deixa ver a maneira como composições e motivos retirados das práticas religiosas cotidianas reaparecem, transformados, nas criações artísticas.
