“…Compounds 2-8 and 10 were elucidated as cineracipadesin C (2) [9], cineracipadesin D (3) [4], cipatrijugin B (4) [4], cipatrijugin A (5) [4], cipadonoid C (6) [10], 3-deacetylcipadonoid D (7) [10], cipadonoid D (8) [10], and 1b,6a-dihydroxy-eudesm-4(15)-ene (10) [13] based on the analysis of their NMR data as well as comparison with those reported in the literature. In addition, two compounds (1 and 7) were evaluated for their insect-resistance ability against fruit fly (Drosophila melanogaster).…”

“…The previous chemical investigations on this plant reported a series of characteristic tetranortriterpenoids with limonoid skeleton [3 -12]. These tetranortriterpenoids were claimed to possess pharmacological activities such as antineoplastic [11,12], antileukemic [9], and anti-feedant [3,10]. In the search for new anti-feedant terpenoids from the family Meliaceae, the phytochemical investigation of C. cinerascens was carried out in our study, which led to the isolation of one new tetranortriterpenoid cineracipadesin G (1) and one new sesquiterpenoid 1b-hydroperoxy-6a-hydroxy-eudesm-4(15)-ene (9), together with eight known terpenoids (2-8 and 10).…”

“…In this field, we have found that several alkynyl epoxides and an alkyl alcohol could be isomerized to dihydro-1,4-oxazine derivatives using PtCl 2 as the catalyst. [11] In searching less expensive catalysts for the reaction, bismuth(III) salts attracted our attention as ideal candidates. Unfortunately, these salts including triflate, bromide, chloride and fluoride were not active for the transformation.…”

“…However, we found that BiCl 3 was capable of catalyzing the cycloisomerization of enynes, which were our precursors toward alkynyl epoxides. [11] In this communication, we report our results on this study.…”

“…Previous investigation on the chemical constituents of the genus Heynea has yielded a series of new limonoids, including trijugin-type, 30-nortrijugin-type, phragmalin-type, and mexicanolide-type limonoids [5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13]. As part of our continuing search for structurally interesting and bioactive limonoids [14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21][22], nine new phragmalin-type compounds (1-9), along with the known 15-acetyltrichagmalin E (10) (l " Fig. 1), were isolated from the branches and leaves of H. trijuga collected from Hainan province of China.…”
