In Dreyer's (2016) analysis of Karl Barth, he argues that being less of an institution, is actually being more of a church.…”

In Dreyer's (2016) analysis of Karl Barth, he argues that being less of an institution, is actually being more of a church. According to Dreyer, the gospel must be free from the culture and politics of the day, since in this way the church becomes powerful by the Holy Spirit who is the reason behind the reality of the church.…”

“…In this article, the focus is not so much on the ethical and moral behaviour as it might appear, but on the 'church being church' (Nel 2010) in reconstruction theology in postcolonial Zimbabwe. In other words, it is about the church being whole and being particular in missio Dei (Dreyer 2016:2) so as to influence reconstruction. The integrity of the church is witnessed when the church is able to be a church in the time and context of its existence regardless of the threats circumstances can present.…”
