The study was conducted to identify menstrual disorders among different women.About 92.2% of the subjects investigated had their first menses between the age of 11 and 16 yrs. A total of 83.3% of them had experienced lower abdominal pain since the inception of Menarche. The majority of the students surveyed indicated that the disorders or pains usually coincided with the examination period. While 13.79% expressed inability to study well, 42.8% used valium tablets for the treatment, with 28.57% using alcohol and analgesics for relief. Some of the subjects used hot drinks, and hot beverages as pain relievers.More studies are needed on dietary management of these disorders.
