Chronic hyponatremia exacerbates multiple manifestations of senescence in male rats

Abstract: The syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone secretion (SIADH) is frequently responsible for chronic hyponatremia in the elderly due to age-related disruption of the inhibitory component of brain osmoregulatory mechanisms.
