Chronic Granulomatous Dacryoadenitis Associated With Pleomorphic Adenoma

Abstract: Chronic granulomatous inflammation occurs rarely alongside pleomorphic adenomas of the major salivary glands but would not appear to have been reported with lacrimal gland adenomas. We describe the clinical features, imaging and histopathology for 4 patients (3 female) who had granulomatous inflammation alongside lacrimal gland adenomas—the patients being with age 39, 44, 48, and 53 years at time of surgery.
