“…The bands observed in diethyl ether and acetone extracts, respectively at 1751.3 and 1711.1 cm -1 , and at 1741.0 and 1712.5 cm -1 are responsible for the stretching vibration of C=D group, however no bands are shown for methanol extract. For all peels fruits extracts and for methanol seeds extract, the very strong absorptions observed at 3385.0/ 3370.5/3319.0 cm -1 and 3322.4 cm -1 for hydroxyl group (─DH) indicating the presence of withanolides in the sample (Dinan et al, 2001). Dnly for methanol seeds and peels fruits extracts, the presence of bands at 1593.6 and 1605.9 cm -1 respectively, provide the richness of methanol extract on protein.…”

“…On the other hand, the quan tities of solasonine decreased during fruit maturation in both D1 and J10 genotypes. To explain this phenomenon, it has been demonstrated that during fruit maturation, GAs like solasonine are converted into nitrogen-free and non-toxic composites (44). Finally, according to the recommended food safety level (200 mg per kg), although both D1 and J10 genotypes are recommendable for human food consumption, D1 is more suitable for human daily diet.…”

“…The rate at which the components of a mixture are separated depends on the activity of the adsorbent and polarity of the solvent. [5] In the past few years, gas chromatography-mass spectrum (GC-MS) analysis has become established as a key tool in secondary metabolite profiling. [6,7] GC separates volatile substances by percolating a gas stream over a stationary phase.…”
