“…The most commonly used analytical techniques for the determination and quantification of DMcT are capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE) and high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with UV detection. 7,8 These methods require expensive and non-portable instrumentation, trained personnel, sophisticated sample preparation, and suffer from numerous chemical interferences. The electrochemical techniques have some advantages like simplicity, fast response, wide linear dynamic range, ease of miniaturization, high sensitivity and low cost compared to other methods.…”

“…The purpose of this study was to therefore develop, optimize, and validate a new method for quantifying ClABT using HPLC separation and UV detection given that there are no other methods described in the scientific literature for its specific measurement in biological media. Procedures have nevertheless been published for determining the parent thioamides group including those based on 1,3,4-thiadiazole [8] which have used reverse phase HPLC on a C18 column with a mobile phase of acetonitrile/acetate buffer (pH 4.7). Detection was by UV at the peak absorption maxima of these compounds (320 nm) and the HPLC separation took 8 min.…”
