Choanal Atresıa: Is a Stent Necessary?

Abstract: Amaç: Koanal atrezi nazal kavite ve nazofarinks arasındaki iletişimin gelişimindeki bozukluk olarak tanımlanmıştır. Her 5-8 bin canlı doğumda bir koanal atrezi tespit edilmektedir. Çift taraflı olması halinde hayatı tehdit eden bir durumdur. Tek taraflı koanal atrezi ise ileri yaşlara kadar farkedilmeyebilir. Koanal atrezilerin cerrahi tedavisi sonrası stent uygulaması tartışmalıdır. Yazımızda kliniğimizde yapılan 8 koanal atrezi hastasının stentsiz tedavisi sunulmuştur.
