Chloroanisole‐1,2‐dichloroethane resins and their thermal stability

Abstract: Resins were prepared by Friedel-Craft polymerization of chloroanisoles and 1,2-dichloroethane. The kinetic parameters were evaluated by the methods of Chatterjee, Freeman-Anderson, Broido, Flynn and Wall, Reich, and Kissinger from the TG and DTA thermograms, respectively. The energy of activation, EA decreased with increasing heating rates. This was explained on the basis of flexible nature and rearrangement of molecules.
