Abstract:In the title complex, [Cu(C13H10ClN2O)Cl], the CuII ion is coordinated by one O atom and two N atoms of the tridentate Schiff base ligand and one chloride ion, forming a slightly distorted square-planar geometry. Weak Cu⋯Cl interactions [2.793 (5) Å] result in the formation of a chain along the a axis.
“…Here, we report the structure of a new copper complex based on an asymmetric tridentate schi base ligand 2-ethoxy-6-((quinolin- [7][8]. In the crystal structure, π · · · π interactions link the approximately planar molecules into stacks parallel to a axis.…”

To investigate the effect of different halogen substituents, leaving groups and the flexibility of ligand on the anticancer activity of copper complexes, sixteen copper(II) complexes with eight different tridentate Schiff-base...
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
