Children's Stealing

Abstract: Stealing behavior is difficult to detect and resistant to traditional means of intervention. Children who steal at a high rate and at an early age are likely to become persistent offenders. Behavioral interventions have successfully eliminated theft. Guidelines are offered to parents and teachers for dealing with “normal” and aberrant theft while maintaining respect for the child's right to privacy.
