“…However, treatment of edentulous people with the complete maxillary denture and mandibular implant‐supported prostheses increases the intake and ability to chew raw, hard and fibrous food 44 . A recent systematic review suggested that although chewing function is an important ‘contributor’ to nutritional‐related factors, the certainty of the evidence is ‘moderate’ to ‘very low’ 45 . To what extent the nutritional status among people with bimaxillary implant‐supported fixed prostheses is influenced, perhaps needs to be evaluated in future studies.…”

Since chewing function may potentially influence the food choices, eating habits or supply of key ingredients responsible for proper nourishments and is an important contributor to nutritional status 45 . It is suggested that a clear understanding of masticatory function during prosthodontic procedures may help us focus on functional rehabilitation rather than structural restoration.…”

“…According to numerous studies, the stomatognathic system may be hampered by age, gender, and some systemic conditions, including postural abnormalities, diabetes, osteoporosis, cardiovascular and respiratory disorders, dietary alterations, or stroke [ 5 , 6 , 7 , 8 , 9 , 10 , 11 ]. However, several studies, such as [ 10 , 12 ], focused on connecting the central nervous system (CNS) and the stomatognathic system.…”
