Abstract: To investigate the role of chemokine receptor 1 (CCR1) and mechanisms underlying airway inflammation in smoking-related chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), we established a mouse model of smoking-induced COPD. Pathological changes in the bronchial mucosa were assessed using hematoxylin and eosin staining, CCR1 expression and cell apoptosis were detected via immunofluorescence and TUNEL, and the expression of the CCR1 downstream pathway was detected via real-time quantitative PCR and western blotting.… Show more
