ChemInform Abstract: Whole Cells in Enantioselective Reduction of tert‐Butyl Acetoacetate.

Abstract: Whole Cells in Enantioselective Reduction of tert-Butyl Acetoacetate. -Several microorganism strains are tested in the enantioselective reduction of tert-butyl acetoacetate. The best results are obtained with yeast (Rhodorotula rubra) which can be reused three times without loss of enantioselectivity. Similar results are also obtained if these microorganisms are used after immobilization in calcium alginate spheres. -(RAMOS, A. D. S.; RIBEIRO*, J. B.; LOPES, R. D. O.; DE SOUZA, R. O. M. A.; Synth.
