Abstract

Efficient Synthesis of Halogenated Pyridin-2(1H)-ones. -Halogenated pyridin--2(1H)-ones are facile and efficiently synthesized via one-pot Vilsmeier cyclization of readily available ketene-N,S-acetal derivatives (IV).
