ChemInform Abstract: Ultra‐Flexible Framework Breathing in Response to Dehydration in Liskeardite, [(Al,Fe)₁₆(AsO₄)₉(OH)₂₁ (H₂O)₁₁]·26H₂O, a Natural Open‐Framework Compound.

Abstract

Al,Fe) 16(AsO4)9(OH)21(H2O)11]·26H2O, a Natural Open-Framework Compound.-The title compound exhibits a phase transition at about 100 C from the monoclinic space group I112 to the tetragonal space group I4, which is related to removal of water from the channels. The transition is accompanied by a change in the sign of the thermal expansion from positive to negative above room temperature.
