Abstract

ChemInform Abstract Methylphosphonic difluoride (I) undergoes an exothermic reaction with the tetralkoxysilanes (II), yielding the alkyl methylphosphonofluoridates (III), together with the dialkyl methylphosphonate (IVa) and silicon tetrafluoride (V). The reaction is accelerated by the addition of water.
