Abstract:Rate constants for direct reactions of propylene oxide with certain aminoisopropanols in the presence of basic catalysts were studied a t a temperature of 363-383 K. This reaction was found to be of the first order in propylene oxide, amino alcohol and catalyst. The observed kinetics are consistent with a termolecular mechanism.
