Abstract

The Facile Syntheses of 2,3-Dihydro-1H-1,5-benzodiazepines and Their Ribofuranosides. -A one-pot procedure provides access to dihydrobenzodiazepines, e.g. (III), containing heterocyclic moieties or fused and spiro derivatives (VII) and (X) at ambient temperature in environmentally benign ionic liquids. These compounds are subsequently transformed into ribofuranosides (V), (VIII), and (XI) in the same pot.
