Abstract

Synthesis of the Spiroketal Fragment of (-)-Ushikulide A. -The synthesis of the title fragment (I) involves the use of TosMIC as alkylating reagent and a Prins cyclization to construct the functionalized tetrahydropyran ring. -(YADAV*, J.
