Abstract: Synthesis of Substituted 2-Amino-4-methylpyrimidines from Arylamides of α-Phenylaminomethylene-β-ketothiobutanoic Acid.-The phenylaminomethylenebutanethioamide (I) reacts with guanidinium carbonate to give the 2-aminopyridinecarbothioamide (III).
