The intersection of two ferromagnetic domain walls placed on the surface of topological insulators provides a one-way beam splitter for domain-wall Dirac fermions. Based on an analytic expression for a static two-soliton magnetic texture we perform a systematic numerical study of the propagation of Dirac wave packets along such intersections. A single-cone staggered-grid finite difference lattice scheme is employed in the numerical analysis. It is shown that the angle of intersection plays a decisive role in determining the splitting ratio of the fermion beam. For a non-rectangular intersection, the width and, to a lesser extent, the type of domain walls, e.g. Bloch or Néel, determine the properties of the splitter. As the ratio between domain-wall width and transverse localization length of the Dirac fermion is increased its propagation behavior changes from quantum-mechanical (wave-like) to classical ballistic (particle-like). An electric gate placed near the intersection offers a dynamic external control knob for adjusting the splitting ratio.

We compute the hadronic matrix elements of the complete set of local four-quark operators relevant for neutral B-meson mixing in the Standard Model and beyond as well as for the the shortdistance contributions to D 0 mixing. In addition we calculate the leptonic decay constants for the Band D-meson systems on the same sets of gauge-field ensembles. Both mixing matrix elements and decay constants are computed with asqtad-improved light quarks and clover heavy quarks in the Fermilab interpretation. We use the MILC three-flavor asqtad ensembles at four lattice spacings between appoximately 0.11 fm and 0.043 fm. We present nearly final values for the mixing matrix elements, and find for the SU(3) breaking ratio ξ = 1.203(17)(6) sea c. The second error accounts for the omission of charm quarks in the sea while the first error includes all other sources of uncertainty. Our result for ξ when combined with the experimentally measured frequencies gives |V td | |V ts | = 0.2047(4) exp (29) th (10) sea c. Finally, we report on our progress towards finalizing our decay constant and bag parameter analyses.

Plasma Induced Damage (PID) is an inevitable reliability issue in VLSI. In this paper, PID depending on different antenna layers is evaluated. Ring Oscillators (ROs) are fabricated in a 65 nm process and oscillation frequencies are measured. The frequencies of ROs are controlled by MOSFET switches between power (ground) rails and virtual power (ground) nodes. Initial frequencies of ROs with PMOS switches are slower in upper layers. However, those with NMOS switches are faster than those without PID because high-k dielectrics are damaged by positive charge. V th is shifted by more than 7.7% and 11% due to PID in PMOS and NMOS respectively.
