ChemInform Abstract: Synthesis of 4‐Oxopyrrolo(1,2‐a)pyrimidine‐3‐carboxylic Acid Derivatives as Potential Antimicrobial Agents.

Abstract: The synthesis of the title compounds, e.g. (IV), is achieved by reaction of 2‐aminopyrroles, e.g. (I), with the ethoxymethylenemalonate (II) followed by cyclization of the aminomethylene derivative (III).
