Abstract

Synthesis of 4-Hydroxycoumarin Heteroarylhybrids as Potential Antimicrobial Agents. -The title compounds are obtained in the reaction of coumarin (I) with various heteroaldehydes. They are screened for their activity against five bacterial strains and four fungal cultures. Compound (IIIa) exhibits the most potent antibacterial as well as antifungal activities. -(SIDDIQUI*, Z.
