Abstract:Synthesis of 1,4-Dihydropyridine Derivatives Containing Hydroxy-, Alkoxy-or Dimethylaminophenyl Substituents at the 4-Position, Their Antioxidant Activity and Binding to Phospholipid Membranes. -A series of dihydropyridines of type (III) (21 examples) is synthesized by the Hantzsch method. Some 3,5-diamides and 4-(3',4'-dihydroxyphenyl) derivatives of (III) display antioxidant activity and an affinity to model phospholipid membranes. -(PLOTNIETSE, M.; TIRZITIS, G.; ULDRIKIS, YA.; KORONOVA, ZH.; TIRZITE, D.; MA… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
