Abstract

Synthesis, Crystal Structures and Cytotoxic Activity of New 1,3,4,5-Tetrahydro--2H-1,5-benzodiazepine Derivatives. -Starting compounds (I) are prepared in two steps from dehydroacetic acid and phenylenediamine. Cyclocondensation of (I) with aromatic aldehydes furnishes the title compounds, some of which show promising activity against several human cancer cell lines. -(FAIDALLAH, H. M.; TAIB, L.
