Abstract: The Schiff‐base condensation of 2,6‐diacetylpyridine and 1,2‐diaminoethane ,in the presence of Lu(III) acetate (MeOH, reflux, 6 h), followed by precipitation with perchlorate ions yielded the title complex (I), which crystallizes in the space group P1 with Z=2.
